The Superior Essex 6A-246-2B is a premium 23 AWG solid annealed copper Cat6A plenum (CMP) unshielded twisted pair cable engineered for 10GBASE-T Ethernet networks. Built with a proprietary core wrap and cross-web separator, this cable delivers guaranteed 1 dB AXT margin and is tested to 650 MHz — providing substantial headroom beyond the Cat6A standard. UL Listed and verified; it meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-E compliance for enterprise, datacenter, LAN, and residential installations.

Construction & Design

Each of the 4 pairs features FEP thermoplastic insulation with Superior Essex's ColorTip circuit identification system for easy conductor matching even in low-light environments. The flame retardant LSPVC jacket is rated CMP (plenum) with low-smoke characteristics, making it suitable for air-handling spaces per NEC (NFPA 70) Article 800. The cable includes a proprietary core wrap that assures excellent alien crosstalk (AXT) performance without the need for grounding or bonding.
