Description
Belden D6UP Cat6 Plenum Solid Copper Cable, USA, Made 1000ft.
The Belden D6UP is a Category 6 plenum-rated premise horizontal cable built for reliable high-speed Ethernet in commercial and enterprise environments. Rated to 250 MHz and designed to meet the strictest indoor cabling standards, this 4-pair unshielded twisted pair cable handles everything from standard Gigabit networks to full PoE++ power delivery without breaking a sweat. Its Flamarrest® low-smoke jacket makes it a solid pick wherever air-handling spaces or strict fire codes apply.
Product Specifications
Conductors are 23 AWG solid bare copper with polyolefin and fluorinated ethylene propylene (PO+FEP) insulation, delivering consistent electrical performance across all four pairs. The nominal cable diameter sits at a compact 0.224 inches (5.69 mm), helping installers maintain clean, dense cable runs without sacrificing airflow in tight spaces. The UL voltage rating reaches 300V under CMP compliance, and the nominal velocity of propagation is 72% at 100 MHz. Maximum conductor DC resistance is 24 Ohms per 1000 feet, while capacitance unbalance stays at or below 330 pF per 100 meters. Signal delay tops out at 537.6 nanoseconds per 100 meters with a maximum delay skew of 35 ns per 100 meters at 100 MHz.
Features and Applications
Belden's Flamarrest® PVC-LS jacket meets both NFPA 262 and UL 910 plenum fire ratings, making this cable suitable for installation in air-handling spaces and open-ceiling environments. A built-in ripcord simplifies jacket removal during termination, reducing time and effort on the job. The cable also complies with ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6, ISO/IEC 11801-1, IEC 61156-5, and IEEE 802.3 Types 1 through 4. It meets EU CE Mark requirements, RoHS 2 directive (2011/65/EU and 2015/863/EU amendment), WEEE directive, REACH regulation, and China RoHS II (GB/T 26572-2011). An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is available through Belden's Product Lens sustainability program.
Uses
This cable handles premise horizontal runs across offices, healthcare facilities, educational buildings, and data centers. Suitable applications include Ethernet 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 10BASE-T, along with IP surveillance systems and any PoE, PoE+, or PoE++ deployment. Its IEEE 802.3 Type 1 through 4 compliance covers a wide range of modern networking equipment, making it a practical fit for both new builds and infrastructure upgrades.
Construction
Each pair follows the standard color code — white/blue stripe and blue, white/orange stripe and orange, white/green stripe and green, and white/brown stripe and brown — for clean identification during termination. The outer Flamarrest® PVC jacket is CMP-rated and low-smoke, meeting both NEC and C(UL) CMP requirements. The stationary minimum bend radius is 1.0 inch (25 mm), and the maximum pull tension during installation is 25 pounds (11 kg). Bulk cable weight is 25 pounds per 1000 feet, packaged on a 1000-foot UnReel spool for easy, tangle-free pulling.
Additional Information
The D6UP is available in nine colors — black, blue, gray, dark green, orange, red, violet, white, and yellow — giving network installers color-coded flexibility for organized, easy-to-trace infrastructure. Operating temperature spans -20°C to +75°C, installation temperature ranges from 0°C to +50°C, and storage stays stable between -20°C and +75°C. The non-plenum equivalent for this cable is the Belden D8UR for installations where CMP rating is not required.
Q: Can customers pay with credit cards when they buy it from you?
A: Yes, we accept various forms of payment, including credit cards. All credit card details are secured and processed on business days.
Q: How soon after buying Can a customer expect shipment of the Cable?
A: Orders are processed within the next business days, and you can expect the shipment to arrive within 2 to 4 business days. Please note that shipping times may vary depending on the location.
Q: What makes this Cable different from a fiber optic cable?
A: The Belden D6UP Cat6 Plenum Cable uses electrical signals to transmit data, in contrast to fiber optic cables that use light. While fiber optic cables are often faster, they are also more expensive and more difficult to work with. In contrast, the Belden Cat6 is an affordable option that provides great performance and reliability.
